Famous rapper 50-Cent visits Somalia.


Hargeisa-(Berberanews)-Mr Jackson (50-Cent) flew to the southern Somali border town of Dolo last Wednesday-(Feb/8th/12) where he took a trip to famine-stricken Somalia as part of a World Food Program humanitarian mission.

“I’m in Somalia this week to show the world the devastation that is taking place. Children going hungry every day, even dying every day from hunger” says the famous singer rapper Curtis Jackson popularly known as 50-cents.

50-Cent is traveled to Somalia to donate meals & money through his project called Street King which pledges feeding over 1 billion people in the war-torn region.

Mr. Jackson spent time visiting different camps which provided refuge to thousands of women and children fleeing drought and conflict from the two decade of anarchic war in the East African nation.

The U.N said the rapper, Mr. Curtis Jackson, has committed to provide 1 billion meals for the hungry, and is donating to WFP 10 cents from every sale of a new energy drink called Street King that he is promoting.

Somalia which is considered to be one of the most violent and poorest countries in the world was declared famine by the international body last July after successive failed rains.

Mr. Curtis Jackson has sold millions of albums and produced major hits including “Candy Shop” and “In Da Club.”
